We are a New Horizons Music band.
The New Horizons concept began at the Eastman School of Music in 1991, under the guidance of Professor Roy Ernst. Since then, the idea has been adopted by more than 90 organizations throughout the US. Our band is open to all interested adults and no previous musical experience is necessary. Some participants are totally new to music making, while others are very accomplished on their instruments. Our beginning band provides instruction on music fundamentals and note reading for beginners. Experienced players may enter the more advanced bands. Participants must provide their own instruments. There is a participation fee.
